SWA 797 HOLD YOUR POSITION

Word up y'all
Just sitting in Midland living it up. I am currently certifying in a number of different positions at the Air Traffic Control tower. I have completed one of the certifications and am training on three others now. The training is good, however, and I am determined to succeed. The other day I was on ground control which is the control position for aircraft that are taxiing to and from the runways to parking; and as an aircraft was taking off on one runway I had told another to hold short of that runway. The aircraft said that was its intentions and somewhere became confused and I had to be aware of all things going on and at the same time catch that this aircraft was wandering out on to the runway that was in use. It wasn't really a close call but a few seconds later and it very well could have been.
I really do enjoy this work and everything is going well not only for me, but for my wife Mary and her schooling. She has been able to focus solely on school and it has shown because she is getting straight A's and the pre-requisite classes for nursing are slowly coming to an end, and hopefully by next year she will be in the program and completing it soon thereafter.
All in all, all is well! Good draft for the Jazz. Nice weather in Texas. Good movies coming out. What more can you ask for
LOVE
JAMES

In about a month Danny and I will be in Lawrence, which is a mere 11 hour drive from you. Get ready!

Do you know Boobie? Wasn't Friday Night Lights about one of the Midland teams? Did I make that up?

When you say "I am currently training", do you mean that you are writing this during your training? If so I would suggest paying more attention to the airplanes.
