My new job as an air traffic controller has brought me some cool experiences that I otherwise would not have the opportunity to have experienced. In the past month and a half the first lady Laura came into Midland to see her mother who still resides in the city. Then, this week the former Pres. Bill Clinton came through to campaign for his wife and yesterday Vice President Cheney came to Midland to do some campaigning for a friend of his that is in the oil business here in town. It was cool to meet the secret service and intermingle with them as they came up into the tower to watch the aircraft come to the airport and safely land. Yesterday when
VP Cheney came to town the first agent that came up to the tower was literally just like what you would imagine from the movies. He had a black suit on was about 6'5'' and weighed in at about 300 lbs. He was nice but you could tell that if he were mad he might just eat you! The agent that came later when the VP left was completely different and scared me alittle.

Because if a regular dude could be a secret service agent he must have known how to do some stuff that would flat put a man on the ground in seconds. Again, he was very nice and they enjoyed their jobs.
