
I should preface this blog with the fact that I have been running for the past few months 2 to 3 times a week. Normally around 2 to 3 miles at a time for a total of 10 miles a week. That is what I was to be at when I officially began my Marathon training. So today when I looked at my official training guide I was a little scared when it called for a 10 mile run...in one day instead of spread out over an entire week. But I have decided that I am all in and set out this morning early. Needless to say I felt like Forrest Gump as I was out there, just running, no real plan or direction, just that I needed 10 miles. I got out there and just ran! I ran around the neighborhood I live in and then another and then one that is being built now and then back through them all again. After the run I felt good and when I went back over my route in the car it came out to be 9.8 miles. I'll take it. My legs where quite sore throughout the day but tonight they feel much better and tomorrow I only need to run my normal 2 or 3 miles. I never thought in my life that two or three miles would feel like a break.
