Training Time Has Come

Most importantly it is Mary Anne McAllister's birthday week and she is the greatest thing that has ever happened to me. I love her so much and enjoy just hanging out with her doing nothing. Because those are the times that I find moments like this...

Yes, this, a snicker mixed with a Nike headband pulled back so far to even make a Nike headband look girly. So she is turning 21 and that means no more "hey, wanna go gambling?" or "hey, need me to buy you some beer?" jokes. So now the jokes will just be tailed towards those things...like when Mary says, "let's get a house?" I can then comeback with the ole "just go win the lottery and we can buy a mansion." So, give a little take a little I've decided. I truly am so grateful to have her apart of my life and love to be with her.

Also, this coming monday marks the 100 day countdown to January 13, 2008. Hmm? you ask, what is that? I have always had the desire to run a marathon and just haven't gotten around to actually putting in the time and effort. Well, that is the day in Houston that I have finally put my money ($85 bucks to run a stupid race) where my mouth is! I plan on updating my progress on this blog as apart of my preparation for the race and plan to document all that goes with a marathon, seeing as I have no idea. I am currently running 2 or 3 times a week around 3 miles at a 10 minute per mile pace. I have a guide that my mother gave me as a birthday present a few years back when I was merely voicing my desires to run, I hope that this guide will help me with what to expect and what not to expect in my running voyage.
